When it comes to them, they leave no stones unturned to help us live a healthy, secure and better life. However, in this pandemic they are left to struggle for the basic necessities of life.

Here is a glimpse of how our team is actively participating in fighting this situation across India with the help and support from our donors. It’s only by the help of our donors and their generous donations that helped us to reach 1000+ families and support them.

We at YEF believe Giving is Caring and as we all know about the situations we are living in; it was a great step taken by our organization to help the women of our society by giving them sanitary pads or napkins. With concerns revolving around sanitation and hygiene, menstrual hygiene is a key aspect of hygiene for women. So, our volunteers went door to door yesterday to distribute Sanitary Napkins in Darbhanga, Delhi.

Charan Das from Noida is a construction laborer who was left unemployed during the lockdown. He contacted us through our Helpline Number and we provided him with the Ration Kit that includes Pulses, Oil, Flour, Salt, Masala, Rice, Sanitizer, Disinfectant Soap, etc.

Rijina Bibi from West Bengal is a maid who worked for a family in Noida. She was left jobless amidst the crisis of Covid-19 and was not able to earn a single penny. She contacted us through our Helpline Number and we provided her with the Ration Kit yesterday.

Govind Mandal from Noida is a rickshaw puller who was not able to earn and feed his family due to the situation of Covid-19. He contacted us and we provided him with the Ration Kit.

Rahul Kumar from Noida is also a construction labourer. He is left jobless amidst the crisis of Covid-19 and he is not able to earn a single penny to feed his family. He contacted us through our Helpline Number and we provided him with the Ration Kit today.

We also transferred Rs. 700 in their accounts individually.

IMPACT STORY 22.06.2020

In our journey to make India a better place we came across a couple of people who were in dire need of our or anyone’s help. Usha Saxena and Birendra Malik, were two people who had no other option than to live in an inhospitable condition.

They were living in a vulnerable condition and had to beg for food and money to survive. They contacted us through our helpline numbers and we made sure to provide them with a ration kit that included rice, pulses, oil, flour, disinfectant soap, sanitizer and some more daily needs along with a money transfer of 700 rupees to their bank account respectively.

YEF lend a helping hand to those who went unemployed first due to the Nation-Wide lockdown and now have a little or no access to the basic amenities of survival with food being the indispensable choice of all.

Daily wagers and laborers from Ranchi, Nashik, Dergaon and Gewan were provided with food essentials yesterday. To add to their adversities, some of them had elders and infants in their family which could’ve led them to bad situations in this pandemic as they are the most prone to catch the fast spreading virus.

Small steps were taken to rescue such pandemic affected needy people and of our society and it was a relief to see their smiling faces.

Impact Story 20.06.2020

World Refugee Day is observed on 20th June every year to raise awareness of the plight of refugees all around the world, while addressing their rights. YEF decided to step forward and organized a distribution drive to help the refugees survive during this pandemic.

We gave them kits that included – Rice, Dal, Salt, Sugar, Oil, Chilli and Turmeric Powder, Dalia Flour, Dettol Liquid Handwash, Disinfectant Soap, Masks, Sanitary Napkins and Biscuits.

Indians believe there resides God in every human and to serve God is devotion. We at YEF strive to help the people with every initiative we take. It brings us immense joy to see their lighted faces as their belief in humanity is reinstalled.

Impact Story 19.06.2020

We all should aspire to be like Mr. Chander Singh, who isn’t afraid to work and serve his family even when he is suffering from tuberculosis that has brutally affected his right leg. This crisis has not stopped him from working enough but for some reason had left him jobless and depressed.

It was when he reached out to us for help that we got to know about his situation. We promised him a job so that he is able to earn his living and also transferred 1000 rupees to his account to buy essentials.

It’s a feeling of pure happiness to see the joy in their innocent eyes.

Impact Story 18.06.2020

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, many migrant workers had to and still are suffering more than we can imagine. Hence, YEF took an initiative to organize a fundraising campaign in order to help the workers and their families by getting them daily required items.

From the funds raised, YEF gave a part of it to the BacchaGiri Foundation which was a total of Rs.10,000. This amount was invested on 30-40 families living in slums located in Gurgaon to give them their basic amenities.

City: Ranchi

We got a call from Krishna, a daily wager who got jobless in this crisis, for help. We provide him with the Ration Kit so he could have the basic necessities fulfilled.

Asinder was unable to feed his family as he was jobless amidst the crisis of COVID-19. On getting to know about it we helped him with the Ration Kit.

Poonam was another victim of this Nation-wide lockdown. She was left jobless and had a 4-year old daughter who was unwell. She didn’t have the financial support to fulfil her needs so she contacted us through our helpline number and we helped her with both, the Ration Kit and the medicines.

The Ration Kit included Rice, Dal, Salt, Oil, Sugar, Dettol sanitizers and soaps, Washing Powder, Biscuits, Tea Powder and many more daily needs.

It’s a feeling of pure happiness and gratitude when we see the joy in their eyes.

Deepa, a 4th class employee (Sweeper) in a private school used to earn very little to help her family. Due to this lockdown her husband, a local restaurant cook, lost his job. They were deprived of financial support and daily needs. On getting to know about their conditions we helped them with all the essential items.

Sunita is a maid who was the only earner of her family. Due to the lockdown she was left jobless and also with a heavy burden to run her entire family alone. We got to know about her condition and did our best to help her by providing her with the Ration Kit and other necessary items to live.

Pushpa is a maid who also lost her job due to the pandemic situation. She couldn’t feed her family in this crisis and needed our help. We helped by giving her the Ration Kit and other essential items for survival.

The Ration Kit included Rice, Dal, Salt, Oil, Sugar, Dettol sanitizers and soaps, Washing Powder, Biscuits, Tea Powder and many more daily needs.

Nilesh Sharma, a resident of Dahisar, was jobless and had a huge family of 8 to feed. With every passing day it was getting worse for him and his family, so we transferred Rs.1000 to his account which he used to buy ration for his family.

Jyothi Sharma from Faridabad is a widow. She has a son who is suffering from liver infection and has been asked for a minimum bed rest of 2 months. She reached out to us and we helped her with some funds that she used to buy ration.

Subi Devi from Muzaffarpur didn’t have a single penny for survival and also her son was ill since the last three days. She needed money urgently. After getting to know about her situation we transferred some money to her account for treatment and ration.

Monika from Mumbai was left jobless like many others due to COVID-19. She contacted us for help through our helpline number and we transferred Rs.1000 into her account soon. She bought ration with that money.

Yashveer and family just welcomed a new born in their family but they were deprived of money and facilities to earn their daily bread as Yashveer was the only working member of their family who was then unemployed. He reached out to us and after hearing his story we transferred Rs.1000 to his account, which he used to buy essential goods for his family.

Ruchi from Sonipat is a maid and was the only earner of her family. Due to the current situation she was left jobless. We received a call from her on our helpline number yesterday and we delivered the Ration Kit to her today at her doorstep.

The Ration Kit included Rice, Dal, Salt, Oil, Sugar, Dettol sanitizers and soaps, Washing Powder, Biscuits, Tea Powder and many more daily needs.

Akhil, a daily wage earner was unable to feed his family amidst the pandemic. On reaching out to us we transferred a sum of Rs.850 to his account. He used it to buy essentials for his family.

Moni from Zamrudpur, Delhi is a maid and sole earner of her family. Due to COVID-19 situation she was left jobless. We received a call from her on our helpline number yesterday and we delivered the Ration Kit the very next day at her doorstep.

It was a pleasure to help those in need and seeing them smile again was the best feeling one could get.

Mamta Ramtek from Chandrapur is a single mother of two children. Her husband was the only bread earner of their family who passed away last month in May. After receiving a call from her yesterday, we delivered the Ration Kit to her the next day which included the daily needs to survive.

Malammal Yara from Mumbai was in need of daily essentials and ration. As soon as we came to know about his needs, we delivered the Ration Kit to his house.

It was a pleasure to help them in their dark times and support them in their lives. To see their smiles come back was the best feeling one could get.

We helped 15 families with ration kits containing Rice, Atta, Salt, Chana, Biscuits, Soaps, Masks and other essentials with help from the foundation @GOONJ.
